“LA AMISTAD” adventure ( 8 days / 7 nights )
DAY 1- Arrive from your country of origin to Costa Rica. Overnight at Hotel Milvia or similar (lovely small B&B located in the suburb of San Pedro, just ten minutes away from downtown San Jose).
DAY 2- Start out this exciting itinerary on one of the World’s most exotic rivers: the Pacuare River. Experience the thrill of Class III & IV white water rafting and the extraordinary beauty of the Pacuare Canyon. After rafting, transfer to Selva Bananito Lodge & Preserve. Enjoy the magic of Costa Rica’s Caribbean rainforest and a program full of nature and adventure.
DAY 3- Selva Bananito Lodge & Preserve: at Selva Bananito you can choose from a number of exciting adventure activities. In our preserve you will find trees over 200 feet tall that you can climb using our special tree climbing gear and canopy exploration technique. Have fun riding sure footed and noble horses, enjoy the lovely scenery and learn about the region’s history and low impact agriculture during our horseback tour through the farm.
DAY 4- Selva Bananito Lodge & Preserve: Enjoy the beautiful hike following the Bananito River upstream, deep into the Selva Bananito Preserve. Lunch and fruit juices will be served by the last of a series of charming waterfalls. Highly recommended for adrenaline seekers is the Waterfall Rappel!!!
DAY 5- After breakfast enjoy the scenic drive to the Panamanian border. After customs you will continue to Finca 60 to take a boat transfer to the main island of Bocas del Toro, Isla Colon. The beauty of the natural channels of the Changuinola River, before leading in to the Almirante Bay is breathtaking only exceeded by the turquoise waters of these paradisiacal Caribbean archipelago. You will be met by the “Al Natural” staff at “El Pirata” Restaurant, right next to where you arrive once in Bocas del Toro. Boat transfer to “Al Natural”, overnight.
DAY 6- “Al Natural” is built in a very open and natural Caribbean style and offers a very intimate and personal atmosphere. “Al Natural” blends in harmoniously with its surroundings and offers kilometers of golden beaches to walk on. It also faces directly two of the most beautiful coral islands in the “Bastimentos Marine National Park”, which we have included in our program: the “Zapatillas Keys” are located just a short boat ride away from Al Natural Resort.
You can snorkel, kayak, windsurf, sunbathe, swim and relax during your stay at “Al Natural”. Another high light of your stay in Bocas delToro is a snorkel tour to Crawl Key, also knows as Coral Key. Immerse yourself in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea and enjoy the diverse marine life and colorful coral formations.
DAY 7-If you wish, you can take the morning to enjoy the beach or optionally visit an Indigenous Reserve, the Salt Creek Indian Reserve. We invite you to support this indigenous culture for which eco tourism has become an important means of livelihood. You will return to the main island Bocas del Toro for lunch (not included), before taking your return flight to Costa Rica in a scheduled flight back to San Jose. Your last Overnight will be at the charming Hotel Milvia.
DAY 8 Return flight to your country of origin.
